BB-SZ

BB-SZ is a kit system based on cassettes made of Buildbond® aluminium composite panel, designed for the installation of ventilated façades. It is a tongue-and-groove, concealed-fixing system that is easy to install, conceived for horizontal modulation and for façades with continuous shapes, with concave and convex curves.

The pre-formed cassettes engage on two complementary profiles: a lower female profile and an upper male profile. The façade is built from the bottom up, so that the female profile of each cassette engages with the male profile of the cassette immediately below. EPDM protection gaskets between the cassettes and their profiles prevent vibration and ensure silent operation of the cladding.

The substructure consists of omega rails and spacers, and it is precisely this configuration that allows the vertical curving of the façade areas, widening the compositional possibilities of the system. The spacers, available in various lengths, accommodate the desired insulation thickness and compensate for irregularities in the wall; thermal breaking is ensured by insulating shims placed against the vertical wall. The mechanical anchoring is carried out by screwing the male profiles to the vertical members, and remains fully concealed.

For each project, Alubuild’s technical department carries out the specific calculation of the substructure, defining the maximum spacing between rails and the number of fixings required.
