Glued system
BB-T-PEG is a kit system based on flat panels of Buildbond® aluminium composite, designed for the installation of ventilated façades. It is a concealed-fixing system — light, quick and economical to install — that allows both horizontal and vertical modulation, producing façades with a completely clean surface and no visible fixings.
As a bonded system with chemical anchoring, it is resistant to ageing and weathering, absorbs vibration and opens up countless façade composition possibilities. The Buildbond® panels are fixed to the substructure with a specific structural adhesive and double-sided adhesive tape, in accordance with the adhesive manufacturer’s instructions; the surface of the rails is first cleaned and prepared with the recommended primer.
The substructure consists of T rails and spacers, optimised for greater speed on site. Thermal breaking is ensured by insulating shims placed between the spacers and the vertical wall, and anchoring to the wall is carried out with mechanical fixings suited to each type of substrate. The system can be assembled on a unidirectional or bidirectional substructure, depending on the modulation of the project.
For each project, Alubuild’s technical department carries out the specific calculation of the substructure, defining the maximum spacing between rails and the number of fixings required.
